Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the family information of married women between the ages of 15 and 49. The population of the research consisted of women who applied to the family planning polyclinic in a public hospital in Central Anatolia to receive family planning services. It is descriptive research. In collecting data; A survey form developed by the researcher, based on the literature, was used and the data was collected by the researcher by face-to-face interview between 24 June and 24 July 2011. SSPS package program was used for statistical analysis of the data, and number, percentage distribution and chi-square test, one of the significance tests, were used in the research. A significant relationship was found between education level and family planning methods used (x2=48.707, P=0.000). While modern methods are mostly used in individuals with a high level of education, it is seen that the use of traditional methods predominates in individuals with a low level of education. Another result was that there was a significant relationship between the method used and the reasons for abandoning this method (x2 = 130.730, P = 0.000)
