The MJSS Editorial Board ensures that authors strictly adhere to ethical guidelines from their country/state or international standards based on accepted reports (COPE Ethical Guidelines, ICMJE Recommendations, CSE's White Paper on Promoting Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, WAME resources, WMA - Declaration of Helsinki). requires compliance. Authorship Criteria

Persons who contributed to the study but did not meet the relevant criteria for authorship should be mentioned in the acknowledgments section. Research Ethics (Ethical Approval Document)

"Ethics Committee Approval" must be obtained for research conducted in all branches of science to be sent to Akdeniz Journal of Current Research in Health Sciences. Detailed information about the permission (ethics evaluation board, date and issue number) should be included in the relevant section of the research method and the Akdeniz Health Sciences Journal of Current Research article template. Author(s) who submit studies to Akdeniz Journal of Current Research in Health Sciences are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

* The publication processes implemented in the Akdeniz Journal of Current Research in Health Sciences form the basis for the development and distribution of information in an impartial and respectful manner. The processes implemented in this direction directly reflect on the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publisher, referees and editors) comply with the standards regarding ethical principles. In Akdeniz Journal of Current Research in Health Sciences, all stakeholders are expected to bear the following ethical responsibilities within the scope of publication ethics.
* The works submitted by the author(s) are expected to be original. If the author(s) benefit from or use other works, they are required to cite and/or quote completely and accurately.
* Persons who do not contribute intellectually to the content in the creation of the work should not be listed as authors.
* All studies submitted for publication must disclose situations and relationships that may constitute a conflict of interest, if any. Raw data regarding their articles may be requested from the author(s) within the framework of the evaluation processes; in such a case, the author(s) should be ready to present the expected data and information to the editorial board and scientific committee.

* The author(s) must have a document showing that they have the rights to use the data used, the necessary permissions for the research/analysis, or that the consent of the experimental subjects has been obtained.

*If the author(s) notices a mistake or error regarding his/her published work, at the early appearance or evaluation stage, he/she has the obligation to cooperate with the editor in informing, correcting or retracting the journal editor or publisher.
* Authors cannot submit their works to the application process of more than one journal at the same time. Each application can be initiated following completion of the previous application. A study published in another journal cannot be sent to Mediterian Journal of Current Research in Health Sciences
*Changing the author responsibilities of a study whose evaluation process has already started (such as adding authors, changing the author order, removing authors, etc.) cannot be proposed.

Editors should make their decisions by taking into account the knowledge, skills and experience expectations of all readers, researchers and practitioners. Care should be taken to ensure that published studies contribute to readers, researchers, practitioners and scientific literature and are original. In addition, editors are obliged to take into account the feedback from readers, researchers and practitioners and to give descriptive and informative feedback.

Relations with authors

The duties and responsibilities of editors towards authors are as follows:

*Editors must make a positive or negative decision based on the importance of the work, its original value, its validity, clarity of expression, and the aims and objectives of the journal.
*Studies that are suitable for the scope of publication should be taken to the preliminary evaluation stage unless they have serious problems.
*Editors should not ignore positive referee suggestions unless there is a serious problem with the study.
*New editors should not change the decisions made by the previous editor(s) regarding the work unless there is a serious problem.
*"Blind Referee and Evaluation Process" must be published and editors must prevent any deviations that may occur in the defined processes.
*Authors should be notified and responded to in a descriptive and informative manner.

Relations with referees

*The duties and responsibilities of editors towards referees are as follows:
*Referees should be determined in accordance with the subject of the study.
*It is responsible for providing the information and guides that the referees will need during the evaluation phase.
*It is necessary to consider whether there is a conflict of interest between authors and referees.
*In the context of blind refereeing, referees must keep their identity information confidential.
*It should encourage referees to evaluate the work in an impartial, scientific and objective language.
*It should determine practices and policies that increase the performance of referees.
*Necessary steps must be taken to dynamically update the referee pool.
*Unkind and unscientific evaluations should be discouraged.
*Steps should be taken to ensure that the referee pool consists of a broad spectrum.

Relations with the editorial board

Editors must ensure that all editorial board members follow the publication policies and guidelines. The editorial board must inform its members about publication policies and keep them informed of developments. Also editors;

*Editorial board members must ensure that they evaluate the work impartially and independently.
*The new editorial board members must be determined to be able to contribute and have appropriate qualifications.

*Editorial board members should submit studies that are in line with their area of expertise for evaluation.

*Must interact regularly with the editorial board. Meetings should be held at regular intervals with the editorial board for the development of publication policies and the journal.

Relations with the journal owner and publisher

The relationship between editors and publisher is based on the principle of editorial independence. In accordance with the written agreement between the editors and the publisher, all decisions taken by the editors are independent of the publisher and the journal owner.

Protection of personal data

Editors; is responsible for ensuring the protection of personal data regarding the subjects or images included in the evaluated studies. Unless the explicit consent of the individuals used in the studies is documented, it is the duty to refuse the study. Also editors; is responsible for protecting the individual data of authors, referees and readers.

Ethics committee, human and animal rights

Editors; It is responsible for ensuring the protection of human and animal rights in the evaluated studies. Ethics committee approval regarding the subjects used in the studies is responsible for rejecting the study in cases where there is no permission for experimental research.

Precautions against possible abuse and malfeasance

Editors; is obliged to take precautions against possible abuse and malfeasance. In addition to conducting a meticulous and objective investigation to identify and evaluate complaints regarding this situation, sharing the relevant findings is among the editor's responsibilities.

Ensuring the integrity of academic publications

Editors must ensure that errors, inconsistencies or misleading judgments in studies are quickly corrected.

Protection of intellectual property rights

Editors; It is obliged to protect the intellectual property rights of all published articles and to defend the rights of the journal and the author(s) in case of possible violations. In addition, editors are obliged to take the necessary precautions to ensure that the contents of all published articles do not violate the intellectual property rights of other publications.

Constructiveness and openness to discussion

Editors;

*He/she should take into account convincing criticisms of the works published in the journal and display a constructive attitude towards these criticisms.
*The author(s) of the criticized works should be given the right to reply.
*One should not ignore or exclude studies with negative results.

Complaints

Editors; The author is obliged to carefully examine complaints from referees or readers and respond in an enlightening and explanatory manner.

Political and Commercial concerns

The journal owner, publisher or any other political or commercial factor does not influence the editors' independent decision-making.

Conflicts of interest

Editors; It ensures that the publication process of the studies is completed independently and impartially, taking into account conflicts of interest between the author(s), referees and other editors.

Ethical Responsibilities of Referees

Evaluation of all studies by "Blind Referee" directly affects the quality of publication. This process provides confidence through objective and independent evaluation of the publication. The evaluation process of Akdeniz Journal of Health Sciences Current Research is carried out on the principle of double-blind refereeing. Referees cannot contact the authors directly, evaluations and comments are transmitted through the journal management system. In this process, evaluation forms and referee comments on full texts are forwarded to the author(s) through the editor. In this context, referees who evaluate studies for Akdeniz Journal of Health Sciences Current Research are expected to have the following ethical responsibilities:

*Only work related to the field of expertise should accept evaluation.
*The evaluation must be impartial and confidential.
*If he thinks that he is faced with a conflict of interest during the evaluation process, he should refuse to review the study and inform the journal editor.
